Description:

Polyester powder coating gives excellent outside durability and resistance to yellowing. The range is formulated on selected resins and light-fast pigments to give outstanding durability and is designed to customer requirements.

Curing Schedules:

•   10 minutes at 180°C metal temperature    •   5 minutes at 200°C metal temperature

Coating Thickness:

•   Minimum - 35 microns    •   Preferred - 55 - 65 microns

Coating Properties:

    •   Test Panels, 50 microns thickness applied to light weight zinc phosphated
        steel

Pretreatment:
It is essential to ensure that the surface to be coated is free from dust, rust, scale, oil, etc. Chemical pre-treatment of the substrate is essential to increase the long term corrosion resistance. Further information is given in our publication 'Application of Powder Coatings'.

Application:
Suitable for application by or automatic discharge equipment and triboelectric charging guns

    •   100% below 90 microns

Specific Gravity:

    •   1.4 - 1.8 depending on colour & finish

Shelf Life:

•   12 months from date of manufacture

Storage:

    •   Store below 25°C in dry conditions

Good resistance to acids, alkalis and solvents at room temperature. May be attacked by diluted nitric acid, ketones and trichioroetylene.

Exterior Durability:

BS3900 Part F2 excellent. Minimal loss of gloss or colour change after 2000 hours.
